We headed to Nashville this weekend to visit Laurel and Livy and to enjoy all the holiday festivities at the Opryland Hotel....We headed to Nashville Saturday morning had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe and then headed to see the Grinch Ice Exhibit and the Hotel. The plan was to actually spend the night at the hotel, but that expectation ended about 7:15 when we realized that no one would get any sleep if we stayed at the hotel. Livy was excited (they all had been all day), Emma Chase was coughing her head off and Braxton was hyper showing off his Kung Fu moves as we watched Kung Fu Panda. Maybe Kung Fu Panda isn't the best bedtime flick. Anyway, we packed up the kids and headed to check out in their pajamas. And remember it is really only about 7:30 or 8:00 so the hotel is hopping with people and performances and we are pulling our luggage through the crowd. Oops, sorry I rolled it over your toes....an adventure for sure!!!
But before our adventure back to Laurel's house, we did explore the hotel and found some fun things to do. On the way home I asked them what their favorite part of the trip was...Braxton said he loved making the gingerbread cookies and Emma Chase loved the Grinch slide. We all had a fun weekend and we all exhausted...we actually put the kids in the bed at 6:45 tonight....
Here are some pictures from the gingerbread cookies and crafts...You could make a cookie or a gingerbread house ornament.......Here they are concentrating on their design.....

I caught Emma Chase tasting her work....They did say it was all edible for up to 5 years.....Wow, let's save it for sure......
She does love a craft project....
Braxton's finished product......
